Been slacking off on the biking thing. Been out only a few times since the Fall Flame Ride. Instead we've been kayaking (until the temps have turned too cold for our blood just recently). Since then it's working out in the gym and a little hiking to try to keep a little fitness. Hoping, and looking forward to getting in some xc skiing on the trails in Weiser over the winter months. Our favorite xc ski place (Whitegrass, WV) has had 55" of snow this month and they are skiing at this moment. Too bad it's a 4+ hour drive for us. Crystal Lake near Williamsport is much closer (only an hour and a half) but has NO SNOW to speak of as yet. Funny that Whitegrass to the south gets more snow (150" average snowfall per year) than some places to our north ! They get lots of lake effect snow. Maybe we'll see you on the trails (likely on foot or skis if the temps stay down in the 30's)
We will no longer be sending out trail updates and club news to personal e-mail addresses( we will still maintain our club e-mail list in case we need to contact individuals but when we send mass e-mails we run into a lot of bounced mail due to members changing addresses, mailboxes full, etc. etc. It's a pain in the ...!!!) We will be sending out messages to the RCST Yahoo Group messageboard ONLY so if you want to get club related news and messages on events, trailwork and trail updates you will need to get signed up on the RCST Yahoo Group. The RCST Yahoo Group messageboard and the new RCST Blog as well as this website will be the place to stay informed.
